I seek out adventures and challenges, at work and at play. By trade, I am an award-winning journalist and writer, published author, crafty editor, artistic photographer and digitally-savvy content strategist. By passion, I'm a proud dad, mountain adventurer, ultra-distance trail runner, gentleman gardener, Ironman triathlete, skier, snowboarder and ski mountaineer. I chase trains, grow tomatillos, make fiery hot salsa, ascend high peaks, listen to vinyl records, wear-test running shoes and occasionally race donkeys. I have been honored to win several awards for my writing and publishing work and am grateful to have been inducted into the Colorado Running Hall of Fame in 2015.

I have spent a lot of my career working as an content director, editor in chief and contributing writer/editor to numerous websites, magazines and various organizations. I was the founding editor of several media entities, including "Trail Runner" magazine and MotivRunning.com
Content Strategist
I have worked as a communications consultant, producer and strategist for marketing, social media, press release and copywriting projects, special events, brand launches, retail stores, corporate executives and non-profit organizations.
Photographer +Videographer
I have taken thousands of candid photos, many for publication, most for personal joy. I have also produced, shot and edited videos for editorial and marketing projects and even, gulp!, be the on-camera talent in a few segments.
