GALLERY

I never set out to become a published photographer.

It was more that I found myself witnessing some photo-worthy things in some pretty cool places. In other words, I was just in the right place at the right time. (And yes, having an smart phone changed the game, but I also have a Nikon D300 and a handful of high-end portable point-and-shoots, too.) Often those moments came when I running, skiing, hiking, snowshoeing or some other sort of outdoor activity. Sometimes it was when I was blatantly trespassing on railroad tracks. Or running with a donkey. Or picking tomatillos, cutting up habanerous or having a low-IBU craft beer. Or visiting Cuba, Moab or Chamonix, where it's nearly impossible to take a bad photo..
